Pregnancy Stretch Marks is a common skin problem that affects many pregnant women. There are many over-the-counter treatments available and they work well in the early stages of pregnancy; however as the pregnancy progresses you may need to move on to stronger medications.

Stretch marks, formally known as striae distensae (or just striae) are what they sound like; the skin's outer layer becomes stretched out while it is in the developing womb. You may also want to increase the amount of time you cover your belly with clothes to ensure that it is well cared for. If you are unable to prevent your pregnancy stretch marks from occurring, then you will need to take steps to heal them, such as using creams and lotions.

It is impossible to completely fade pregnancy stretch marks, even when you are in the delivery phase. However, there are things you can do to make the marks fade quicker, such as exercise and applying skin creams. You can also help to make the stretch marks less noticeable by wearing lighter coloured clothing and using a looser fitting bra.

You can also use special lotions to speed up the healing process. You can purchase a cream called Oil of Olay Regenerist. These creams help to rejuvenate your dermis, which helps to speed up the healing process. Massage creams and ointments are also available to help heal stretch marks, but you should not use over the counter creams for this purpose because they may contain ingredients that are harmful to your unborn child. Doctors can prescribe vitamin E oil to apply to your belly to speed up the healing process, but it is essential to use this oil in moderation, so you do not stretch the skin on your stomach more than is necessary.
